I am From Dreams
I am from sleepless nights alone
From tales of sadness, sorrow and woe
I am from dreams of a sweet little girl
Wrapped in blankets an showered with pearls
I am from melodies both sung and unsaid
From thoughts that flutter around in my head
I am from night skies filled to the brim with stars
From mysteries of worlds both near and far
I am from dreams kept locked away
From venturing eyes that never meet my gaze
I am from conversations carried through the night
Carried on 'till morning light
I am borne in this brave new world
A little green bud on this family tree
I am broken but I know why
After all, we must break before we shine
