You bought a goldfish on your lunch hour;
You told me that there was wonder in his lonely eyes;
You didn’t intend to kill him;
You called me when you got home;
You made your last phone call;
Your unnamed goldfish;
Your voice wasn’t the same anymore;
At the time I was upset that your voice is changed;
But now I am glad because now I know that you somehow knew how I felt when you left.
