I should be so thankful 

I've room full of books and a bed with pillows

no one's there to see the tears 

that keep coming because of the ache

that's deep within

It's never gonna go cause I keep it in,

in the public I laugh

and cry when its dark

no one's there to see the tears

because everyone's busy being busy

or maybe they did

but it's none of their business, anyway

It's the escape I need so badly

from the mind and the people

but the prisoned birds look so beautiful
