To my Skin... I'm sorry.
I have a blade in my hand.
A single thought.
There are scars on my skin.
I treat my skin so unfairly while it still protects me.
My skin.
My protector.
You have been with me through thick and thin.
Literally.
You've been with me through my eczema… my bruises.
You honestly did your best, you tried.
But, But I.
I didn't, want to.
I didn't want, to try.
I never even considered how you felt.
I never thought about how much more pain I will be causing you.
So I want to say I'm sorry.
I know you'll need to think about my apology.
I'll give you time.
Take all the time that you need.
To my skin.
I'm sorry.

xxxtentacion played a little part in this but everything else is pure originality. this poem is for people that should remember that our skin, if there is no body else our skin is always there keeping us warm and safe.
