The Meadow

Long grass filled the sky

The soft flowers reached for the sun

The dirt underneath my feet

My skin blushed from the heat

Your life exists within mine

Your blood flows through the dirt

And dirt flows through mine

My fingers pluck a small flower

And place it on your head

You sleep soundly

Unbothered by today's sun

I lay down tracing your name in the soft dirt

The sun is as warm as your embrace

The grass as bright as your eyes

The grass is always greener

Where you bury the body

This is inspired by my friend in english class, I asked her what to write about and she said a dead body and a meadow.
