Just Another Love Poem
Love poems are cliche
Or maybe it’s just love.
Described the same way
Always the hearts and the doves.
You act like it’s the best,
And maybe you’re right.
Two people meet and
I think you know the rest.
But how can you know you,
When you only know us?
It’s not you, it’s me
I should focus on school.
It’s hard to be a we
When I feel far from cool.
So, Love, when I’m ready,
You’ll be the first to know
But now I’m unsteady.
I need to know me
Before I know you.
