Tragedy

Such a complicated word

In a complicated world

Things we don’t understand constantly happening

Murder, manslaughter, disaster

Tragedies

Why can’t there be peace

Why can’t we live in harmony

Why do we have to face

Mass shootings

Racism and abuse

These tragedies shaking

The lives of human beings everywhere

Tears are shed by the victims of these tragedies

Blaming themselves for the death of a loved one

Tragedies that can’t be undone

Bloodshed

The only answer some come up with

Whether its shooting up

A Mosque

A Church

A Synagogue

A Temple

A school

An office

Why is violence the only answer

Why are people so sick

Killing innocent people

Innocent children

Innocent babies

Who could’ve had a future

Friendships

Getting torn apart

People stabbing each others’ backs

A good friend

A bad friend

A real friend

A fake friend

Even losing a friend is a tragedy

People are so naive to the fact that

Human beings have feelings

Even plants and animals have feelings

Care about others for once

Try to make the world a better place

But no, people have to just have to

Bring tragedy and misery to

This world

This Earth

The author's comments:

The world is becoming more and more toxic everyday, so I wanted to write a poem about tragedies.
