The Darkness That is my Mind

There are chains around my soul
the darkness it swallows me whole,
my thoughts are as deep as the sea
so when I look in my mind, I feel I'm suffocating
why should I wake every day,
just to live with more of the agonizing pain
in this world I try in vain, to obtain joy
and while doing this I destroy, all of my happiness
leaving me with a stream of tears, that feels almost endless
in this world I can't call my own
I continue to suffer,
forever alone
