Plane Ride
Early mornings are when one awakes
To take a ride on a plane
Empty roads and empty lanes
On the way to ride a plane
Heavy bags, heavy yawns, heavy eyes
As one waits in line
Shoes come off, so do jewels
These are just rules
The gate now in sight
Waiting to go aboard
To go soar
Everytime a new adventure
To go explore

This poem i was just inspired by all the trips i'll be soon be taking. I wanted to capture the process of going on vacation rather the vacation itself. This poem I really edited and changed and cut words, but it made it so much better. I think making it rhyme makes it flow and sound better. This isn't really my favorite poem, but I still like it.
