January 18, 2019
the last day of elementary school
my parents bought me ice cream and drove me home
the last play I was in
my parents hugged me and got me flowers
the last soccer game I played in
my parents drove me to the hospital with a broken foot
my high school graduation
only my dad showed up
my last day in my hometown
only my dad drove me to the airport
my mother's funeral
only I went
my wedding day
only my too-sick father could have filled the dad-shaped hole in the room
my first child being born
only me left from my original family
only regretting all the goodbyes.

I do fear regrets as I think all people do and death in general but the biggest thing for me is people leaving/dying.
