Me
I am not like a swan,
Moving gracefully, showing off,
I am a tiger,
Always on my toes,
Ready to pounce at anyone who dares to hurt me
Standing out would make me vulnerable,
Staying hidden lets me blend in
If I wanted to stand out
I would, wouldn’t I
I am a tiger protecting myself,
my family,
my friends,
I don’t want to attract anyone
nor do I want to be seen
That’s the job of a swan
Me, I am a strong, powerful but silent creature,
Not a creature who wants to show off,
I do what I do to keep myself safe
I’m not a graceful swan,
Showing off for others
I am a tiger unnoticeable, unpredictable but powerful
