Wayward Soul
The world is a blur of scintillating horrors, of nighttime and starlight gasping open wide, a second caught in a tourniquet breaking apart and ticking clocks falling back together again, a touch of dragonflies drifting away, a moment forgotten tearing their wings just to get back to a time when they were each other again, a girl all alone, no longer lost in her own body but abandoned to a world she no longer knew, which way was right, she could remember from whence she came, home—maybe, but yet it didn’t fit right, a little too tight, a little too big for her to slip back into, a lost wayward soul to be forever a wandering in the same place
