Words empty as the wind are best left unsaid. -Homer

Sugar,

Cinnamon,

Sweet maple syrup.

How can one dislike thy loveliness?

Perfectly crisp, yet gooey.

No need,

To cut off the crust.

Carmel colored wonderfulness.

Powdered sugar snow drifts,

And mountains of berries.

Sunday morning,

Or Friday night at 1 am.

French toast is always the best choice.

Topped

With pale yellow,

Butter,

From the best cow,

And fluffy whipped cream.

Swirled into the perfect dollop.

A constellation,

Of cinnamon flecks,

Encompassed in an egg bath.

Drowning,

In a luxurious pool,

Of maple syrup.

So

All in all,

There is no other,

That can compare,

To the wonder,

Of French toast,

From peanut butter,

To grape jam,

French toast is superior to all.
