Love your thoughts, then speak your mind.

Beyond the reflecting pane I see the light, imperfect circle of acceptance,

Color which deceives but pulls me closer to its presence.

Perhaps it is my fault I grow in attachment,

But even if undesired, I will always grieve its absence.

It is soft, smooth and edgeless,

Appealing to the naked eye, beguiling is its eminence.

I find myself lost without it being there.

I hope to be flawless, that would only be fair.

The circle is nature’s beauty, one full of many ignored faults.

But I must acknowledge everything is flawed and everything is prone to assault.

Along the smooth surface I observe mountains minimized by the mist of dawn.

Perfection is not found unless looked for in a pawn.

I have always found pleasant the ignorance found in guilt.

So you have fooled me and truth in my palace has been built.

For you to assume yourself as flawless takes courage.

I am a seed in your garden and with just your thoughts I will flourish.

You are the water running through my lone streams,

You keep them flowing with life, I would like to live in your dreams.

Am I insane for assuming I deserve your gallantry?

One glance at perfection, then I am forced back to reality.

You are my fort, you are my base.

And around you I will always be safe.

I love myself today, I’ll keep glancing more.

How was I not able to notice this before?

And then with a sudden shatter, the reflection disappears

And I am only followed by a shadow disappearing within itself, terrorizing and causing fear.

Please come back, bring me light

Show my imperfections, let me know it is all, Right.
