Favorite Quote:
"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy will cometh in the morning"
-Psalm 30:5

Splash, waves crashing was the sound of our love coming to an end. Deep, dark, mysterious you were indeed. My feet were on your shores no harm to be made, yet you pulled me in. Further out into you I was cast against my will, held a hostage into your toxic yet beautiful ways. As I sunk into your icy waters, deeper and deeper you promised me you could make me breathe underwater and I was such a fool. You made me forget I wasn’t just another one of your fish in your sea and now I'm here drowning, still trying to believe I can breathe.

The author's comments:

My name is Hannah, I am a 16 year old from Dallas Texas and I love to write poetry. This poem I wrote about a year ago by far is one of my favorites out of all of the many poems I have written. "Oceans" is about a past relationship I had that was quite toxic and my experiences with that relationship.
