The Man Up In The Stars, The Family Out Of My Heart
Sixteen years
Without you
Sixteen birthdays
Without you
My family tree
Split in two
Hundreds of questions
Taking over my thoughts
Countless letters
With no reply
I would’ve been apart of a whole
But
I exist
So you packed your bags
Without hesitation
On the second day
The eleventh month
Of my first year
A body
Lies in a ditch
Once covered in wreckage
Now saved by the stars
Without even saying
goodbye
Or hello
To his own daughter
You were nothing to me
I am nothing to what remains of you
