The small patch of wildflowers
in the center of the field;
the greatest place to be alone.
So quiet, you really feel alone.
Only the feeling of the cold breeze
feels good on the back of your neck,
as the sun burns your face.
Only the sound of crickets
singing their song for you,
as you walk along your journey.
The only thing that keeps you from stopping;
your feet, stumbling from the uneven ground,
and your curiosity to keep searching.
What are you searching for?
Nothing.
You’re just walking in an open field.
