Motor Mouth
Do I threaten you?
Your mouth runs like a motor when I’m not around,
But sputters out silently when I walk in.
Your eyes drink in my presence,
But you choke and cough on hateful murmurs.
Do I intimidate you?
Your eyes roll when you look at the back of my head.
Your whining complaints barely reach my ears,
Barely.
But the words that string from your thin lips only roll off my shoulders,
Like cold drops of water.
Do I scare you?
Don’t worry.
You’re not worth a bloody knuckle to your crooked nose.
