Kennadie who smiles like theres no tomorrow

Covers the pain inside her,

The pain of her dad leaving her side forever,

The pain of the childhood she never had,

The pain on her face when she didn't win the race,

The race to get out of there,

The place where you feel alone 24/7

Her parents never home,

9 years old, and raised by her sister

that only has troubled bones,

Mckenzie is her name no longer here

She ran away from the place that she called home.

C.P.S. took kenadie away from there,

Took her to a place where she could be charised,

I know she was scared, and that's a lot to bare.

But it’s a better place anywhere but here.

she’s back home, it's a little better now,

her mom had a kid,

Is kenadie going to have the responsibility to raise him now?

Her families  buying a new house moving closer to her family,

The stretch of three hours is a long drive daily

she's happier now I can see it in her face,

she has finally won the race.
