Time

A river flowing with various twists and turns

No predictions of where it’s going

Saying you have a choice is unrealistic

Time is only a perception of occurrences

Ever Changed

never by us

A predetermined future

A story we’re trying to write

But there's already a story about that

Born into a world not having choices till 18

But then do you even have a choice?

Fate

Hitting harder every second

Never living in the present

Solely living in the future

Never seeing the present

It's so minuscule

Only a Planck length

The branches that hit you towards the mouth

Always getting closer,

But you never know when you're going to reach it

I have been doing a project in English class.  Our teacher asked us to write an extended methaphor.  Without really realizing what I was writing I ended up with a rough draft of this piece and I loved it.  Afterwards I worked countless hours on revising it and adding more in depth details and using RADaR to just get this piece to where I felt comfortable showing the class.  Most people didn't pick up a lot of what I was trying to mean, but then I felt the need to publish it to hopefully share this with more than just my class.  People who might interpret this in many different ways so that this might cause them to think differently about life and make the most of it.
