Daddy
I always try to please you
But you're never satisfied
You always judge
You never listen
You only hear what you want to hear
You hurt us
And it's all because of that
That juice in your mug
You always have it
Even when you drive
Even when you sleep
We all have bruises
Bruises from your words
Bruises from your ring
We were so scared
We were scared of you Daddy
Mummy told us to stay away
To stay away from you Daddy
We never left our rooms
We never wanted to be around you
You had us scared to death
Scared to love
Scared to live

I want to start off with that this poem was NOT based on true events this is just a very emotional piece that I wrote one day
this is from the perspective of a 4-year-old girl with an alcoholic father with two older (10 & 14) sisters and mother who are being abused in his drunken stupor and if you want to know more comment
