These are the Silent Knights

The ones who force back their tears

And swallow their screams

Who learn to live 

Despite broken hearts

The ones who had 

To grow up too soon

These are the ones

Who are damaged and broken

Yet they are the ones who

Smile the brightest

And

Laugh the loudest

They are the kindest

And 

The bravest

You see, 

They drink in every drop of happiness 

And suck in every breath of joy

They never hesitate to share

Because they are the ones who understand

That there is nothing more cruel and more evil

Than allowing someone to experience

The neverending pain and lonliness

That comes from being hopeless

So don't judge a book 

Before you've read it's story,

Felt it's pain,

And walked more miles than you can count in it's shoes

For these are the Silent Knights

And they are not a few
