Beyond the Horizons
Whilst my feet are still on the safe grass.
My heart desires to soar high into the sky.
Knowing that my wings are chained down to the firm earth beaneath
Yet dreaming about the blue roof that it loves to look at.
It drags me towards the blue ocean
Wanting to venture out into the waves
and touch the line where the sky meets the sea
To go to the land the unknown where it can clearly see the rays.
But it cannot see that I am trapped amongst the walls which cannot be broken by me
As it needs not hands to be broken by. But by the power free minds that dare to dream
To dream beyond the horizons and above the blue sheets spread over our heads .
These narrow lanes that I am surrounded by, need to be widened.
So my big dreams don't get crushed in them
So tell minds that I live amongst to broaden.
So I spread the wings that have been long chained down
and fly facilely to my destiny.
