The sky above fills with dark clouds
My body is still as I stand on the street
Watching as the happy couples show off
My heart is about to stop
I watch their hands clasp together
My head fill with thoughts of the love I once had
The years we had, the memories we made
Were the greatest days
But he’s gone and all that’s left is pain.

This peice was written my sophomore year when I was struggling through an unhappy, abusive relationship. At that moment in time that was how i was feeling so i wrote them down. I later turned them into my english teacher and he said they were really good. I decided i should try submitting them to the school news paper. A whole year later I found this website thaks to my new English teachdr so I though " give it a try."
