A Baseball's Duty
CRACK!
I go flying into the air,
Soaring above all,
Racing towards the end.
All around me, I see people,
Staring in awe.
I feel that air,
Rushing by me,
It feels so good.
I’m free!
Unfortunately,
After my best experience yet ,
I reach my destination.
It’s the end of the line.
PLOP!
I land in the hand,
Of a young cheering fan,
“HOME RUN!” he yells.
I know I have completed my duty now.
