He Waits
All it took was one look to fall madly in love.
Their personalities fit, snug like a glove.
Though, she could not see this, she hardened her heart.
Never given a chance, he left to depart.
Once left alone, all he could think,
Was the love he had lost in no more than a blink.
He wanted her beauty, he wanted her mind,
He wanted their futures to be superbly aligned.
Now he sits and he ages,
Writing pages and pages,
Of the girl he did want, but the girl never given,
So he hides his heart, a mistake unforgiven,
And waits for the day for death to give in.
