Goodbye To My Butterfly
Flutter by, little butterfly.
A quiet beauty with a rhythmic beat.
When winter arrives, you will fly away with your fleet.
There are many of your breed, yet your design is so discrete.
Gone so unnoticed, is it possible to be that shy?
Like a new-found beauty, it’s no wonder you seem so very pure.
Because of that beauty, we are all blind; why must you belie? Can something be so pure, truly?
When it comes to the rules of design, you are so very unruly. We soak in your beauty for only a short while;
Like every great time, we must eventually say goodbye.
