Black Sky
Up in the morning
At the break of day
When I came into the kitchen
The valley out was grey
There was no song
No colors bright
It was all gone
And there was no light
The smell was strong
The smoke choking
The beauty of the morning
Was gone , the fire stroking
All day a reminder hung
Not letting us forget
You couldn’t see the mountain
The fire still a threat
For a few days it went on
Destroying, smoking, burning
And on it went
The fire still churning
Then it stop
The smoke still smoking
The fire caught
The flames started stroking
As the rain fell fell from the heavens
My dream came true
A wet fire can do no harm
The sky again blue
