Murder
A shadow trembles
While the moon supervises
The silence dissembles
The mist paralyses
Wolves howl with longing
Their cries of agony beg
For a distant belonging
Heart cracks like an egg
Constellations glimmer
A quiet criminal moves
As my eyes get dimmer
Ready to pounce, he proves
Blood looks black in the moonlight
Carnal fantasies completed
His knife and hand unite
My arteries now heated
The wind sighs infernally
Another poor soul obliterated
My fire’s extinguished eternally
The blanching of skin accentuated.

As this poem is about a cruel murder, hopefully the readers will sympathize with the speaker and appreciate their own mortality. Yay!
