Sweet, Loving Days
My sweet and kind darling,
The days we spent together
May seem to be startling.
But to me, they'll last forever.
Look at the world we made,
So soft, gentle like a child.
Our love, never to fade,
As long as the nights are wild.
Then life was gone in a flash
On that sad, fateful day.
When love went into a car crash
And your lover past away.
Oh lovely girl,
Today is a woeful day.
Look at our own world
Turning into gray.
For I'm not with you anymore,
My day's amongst the living end.
But as I lay in the tomb floor,
My love for you will never be dead.
For I was with you the last time
And I don't want you to cry,
For it went by like a flick of a dime
Yet it was a heavenly way to die.

Just listening to the songs of the Smiths and Depeche Mode inspired me to write this poem. The poem is about before and after a lover pasts away from a fateful car crash. Enjoy!
