I say "I love you,"
But it's a lie.
I say it's true
But you still cry.
I hold you tight
But you push me away.
Why is it me you fight
I want you to stay.
You shed a tear
At your broken heart.
You run with fear
Because I am the start.
I am sorry, my love
For I am not a blessing dove.
