Let You Go
As I sit and watch the day fall to night
I often wonder if I might
See you again
See you again
The only thing that I remember
Is the sight of your car
Driving away in the dusk of night
You left me standing there, breathless
All alone with no one to turn to
I’ve tried moving on but
I can’t seem to let you go
You’re so unpredictable
I’m always on the edge
To the point where I’m hanging by a thread
But I can’t help wondering
If this time you’ll stick around
Long enough to catch me
My only wish is that you realize
How much pain I’m going through
Thinking about you
And how much I love you
I know that love may not
Hold us together forever
But tire tracks and gravel
Are all I have to remember you by
You left me standing there breathless
All alone with no one to turn to
I’ve tried moving on but
I can’t seem to let you go
