my world
The images that my world hold,
are very colorful and bold,
they speak of life and joy,
it may be lame and coy,
my world is blue and green,
its not black and white like dreams
my friends and loved ones are there
I am responsible for their care
the houses are full of glee
the children are playing in the trees
they swing like monkeys to and fro
till I tell them its time to go
then arrives the war and crime
it seems it take no time
there's so much to be done
we're not allowed to have fun
no more dancing,singing, or playing
we are to busy fighting
we struggle for our food
the country is in a bad mood
the crime is extreme
most have no one to upon to lean
the bright colors are gone,
it didn't take very long
we will stand and fight,
with all our might
my world will be great,
I can hardly wait,
my world is a fantasy,
but one I often see,
as I close my eyes at night,
I anticipate the sight.
