They say true love
may last forever.
But it's different
from what I endeavor.
Keep trying,
that's what they say.
Keep trying,
'til all the pain goes away.
I thought that
love wasn't real.
It truly is,
but that's not the deal.
Hurts to say
it never happened.
But that's the truth,
and that's the trend.
Try to remember
that you're not alone.
You don't understand it
until you're all grown.
