Armageddon
Some say the world will end in ice,
Some say it will end in fire.
But the fire burning in your eyes
Is all that I desire.
So when the world stops spinning,
When the whistle finally blows,
I’ll be lying by your side
Lost in passion’s final throes
While the rest are lost in reverence
Of their first and final glimpse of doom,
You and I will celebrate
Love’s forever-after bloom.
We’ll hold tight to each other
As the world begins to melt away.
We’ll share those timeless secrets
That only true love can convey.
When darkness finally settles,
When all the world is still,
Love will remain victorious,
Unshaken by the thrill.
Some said the world would end in ice
Though it finally ended in fire.
Taking my last breath with you
Was my only true desire.
