Black
The absence of all color
A boundary or line
A withering old flower
Empty wasted time
This is what I USED to think
How I USED to feel
But now that I've met you,
BLACK is oh so real.
BLACK can be romantic
A suit and stunning guy
Driving fast at midnight
Darkness zooming by
Whispers in the dark
Shadows on the wall
A kiss under the stars
Your arms when I fall
BLACK used to scare me
Foreshadowing such pain
But then there came that darkened sky
That night within the rain
BLACK is steady, dark, secure
Sometimes dead,
But always real.
