Spring Is Full Of Life
I’m stuck here doing chores
Cleaning my room and mopping the floors
My friends are all outside
But the rules I must abide
Finish the chores
They are out there playing in the sun
I watch them all having fun
I’m in here cleaning, burning light
I’m afraid I won’t finish till the night
Finish the chores
They drive their trucks towards the mud
While I sit here cleaning crud
Why did I let things get so bad
Now I hear it from my dad
Finish the chores
Now they’re at the swimming hole
I’m cleaning gutters with a pole
I check things off the list one by one
While my friends continue having fun
Finish the chores
What could be worse than missing fun
Why can’t these chores just be done
I’ll never let things get this bad
Missing my friends makes me sad
The chores are done.
