Surrender
I put up a wall,
To shelter my heart.
Because without I’m afraid,
I’ll fall apart.
Now I can’t get out,
And the world can’t get in.
But this pain won’t last long,
I’ll commit one last sin.
Here I stand alone,
In my world that is dying.
I can’t live without you,
I’m ready to give up trying.
I’m surrounded by darkness,
In the day as well as night.
I long to see your face.
Could you lead me to the light?
Memories flood my mind,
Things I don’t want to remember.
Your lifeless body in a casket…
I close my eyes, surrender.
