I Love You

And on the day they fell in love
he heard her lips speak truth.
Her three words sung from heaven above
that only sweetly sooth.
Now leaving home's safe realm and grace
he heeds his country's call.
One last look at her pretty face
happy reflections fall.
And home again he will be soon,
her promises kept true,
she waits alone for many moons
searching for a clue.
