The Precious Bird
Hope, like a bird
Flies away
From many that surround me
Please, my hope, stay another day
For now I truly need thee
When my courage
And strength fail
You, my hope
Is what prevails
To help me live, and fight, and cope
May I never cease to dream
Of what tomorrow may bring
For now my days are dark with hate
But if you from within me sing
It will never come too late
