I love you with part of my heart
and some of my soul
I can tell you right now
I won't love you whole

(But maybe,
a chance of
a million to one
A knight in bright armor
and the quest is done...)

I won't love you whole
You're too easily amused
And I've learned too hard
I'm too easily abused

a chance of

With the wind just right
and a lucky ray of sun...)

I'm too easily abused
To be easily attained
If you'd try you'd realize
How lonely you've remained

By touching every soul
Discarding every face
That doesn't make you feel whole

If you knock down some walls
and put down your gun...)

That doesn't make you feel whole?
There are more choices still
Slow down before you waste them all
As I know you will
