A Poem For You, My Love
You, my love
make my heart flutter so
as you slowly lean in
to kiss my nose.
You often get close
so our lips just touch
Time seems to freeze
then comes a rush.
You, my love
hold me tight in such a way
Your warmth remains on my skin
all the next day.
You make me blush as you tickle my cheek
with eyelashes so soft
they leave a trace of pink.
You often smile
a smile so wide
I can't help but do the same
no matter how much I've cried.
You, my love
have eyes, true and deep
trust shines through them
assuring me you're mine to keep.
