One Man's Eyes
One day I opened my eyes and saw colors
Beautiful greens and blues and others
They were so light and bright
That at once it gave me a fright
It was not that I had not seen before
The colors the world holds in its store
But that I had not stopped to look
At the many things it took
To make the world a happy place
It is like a fabric of intricate lace
Growing together and yet apart
Awing from the very start
I wish sooner I had seen
The glory that is between
Each leaf and ever wing
Wish I'd listened to the bluebirds sing
Because as I lay in my little bed; unable to arise
I realize now man cannot see what is right before his eyes
For a man can never be at peace, until the day before he dies

If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. i'll always be with you.”
