A Rose
Before the sun rises and shines,
I try and think of simpler times.
Times before you had to go,
Times before I walked alone.
A rose of sweet tormenting pain,
A day that seems all full of rain.
No more love or happy ever after,
No more passion and no more laughter.
As the sun sets I ignore the time,
Think of the quarrels your fault or mine.
Changing if we knew our tragic fate,
Filled with such confusion and hate.
Why did you have to be taken so fast?
Pulled from me to a world so vast.
Each set of lovers chance cruel ends,
Just like a car speeding round bends.
How I wish you could be here to make me smile.
