I don’t know how I feel for you,
I don’t know what to write.
Honestly, I have no idea
Who I am tonight.
What you do to me,
Is both confusing but so real.
Emotions blend together,
So I don’t know what to feel.
I’ve known you for a while now,
But everything has changed.
It seems the world is upside down
But still, I feel the same.
I never knew I’d look at you,
In any other way.
I didn’t know I’d speak the words
I never thought I’d say.
I’m running around in circles here,
And I’m running fast,
But really, I’d do anything
To make this feeling last.

I wrote this when I was talking to my best friend that I also liked, and he asked me to write him a poem for his birthday.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
