She stares into the distance
A foggy reality
Present haunting memories
Of a girl she used to be

She wears her love like armor
An appearance of great strength
Alas, hollow deep inside
Not ready to go the length

Her tear droplets stain like wine
Falling on ivory dress
They pitter patter like rain
Yet, he's not there to caress
