Pride
She wiped her hand across her cheek
And stood and looked around
She walked down the dusty sidewalk
Said to herself “Be Proud”

“Be proud he lived a good life,
and lived his life with pride.
He did everything he needed
Too bad he proudly died.

He died to serve his country,
to keep his wife and children free.
He died for a good purpose,
He died for you and me.

She gladly walked home proud
Inside she could hardly take the pain,
Never looking back,
At the tombstone with his name.

This one hits close to home, My Boyfriend is serving over seas. and We've lost two very close Friends this past month..RIP Scot and Mikie!
