As the world begins to slow
And rotation takes it’s time
You need to let me go
To stop aching my sublime
As the minutes passing by
Turn into mournful days
You need to let me go
To stop feeling all these ways
As the faucet drips each drop
And begins to fill the sink
You need to drain the water
To prevent drowning underneath
As the sun begins to set
And the stars inch into view
You need to let me go
To let me feel anew
As the world begins to slow
And rotation takes more time
You need to let me go
To chance a waiting sign
