Tangled
You turned away and left me
standing here alone.
Not blinded, but I can’t see,
hidden in unknown.
Now I’m crashing to the ground,
fighting through the frost,
just to try to find the sound
and the things I’d lost.
Thorns and scratching pulling things
try to pull me down.
They make tears in fragile wings.
I begin to drown.
Now I've been beat and battered
but I won't give in.
My wings aren't shattered,
this is not the end.
