Silent Supporter
Delicate child, whom does she love?
Of course her Teddy Bear.
They are together, forever.
For that is what she’ll swear.
All nights they curl up, fast asleep.
Each feels they’re protected.
Their love is strong, and eternal.
Both; forever connected.
She drags him around at her feet.
He does not mind a bit.
The two spend their days united.
Their love won’t ever quit.
The girl’s best friend to whom she talks.
She shamelessly confides
Her secrets, her worries, and fears
While at each other’s sides.
However their blissful love must
Stand the test of time, the child
Is aging, and maturing now.
She’s become less beguiled.
Her need for a companion
Has turned from a still toy
To a living, breathing ally.
Not lost will be the joy.
Even though she’s all grown up
She can’t ever cease to care.
She won’t forget her first real friend,
Her faithful Teddy Bear.
